It contains a summary of the play. Geoff, who never appears on stage, wants to help his friends Liz and Bob, who are having marital problems. In order to bring them together to talk things over, he tricks them. First he invites Liz to have dinner with him in a quiet hotel room. Geoff, of course, does not intend to be there. Without telling Liz, he also invites Bob to the same hotel room with the false promise that he will provide him with Mimi, a high class call girl as a birthday present.
Will Mimi spoil everything? Will Bob run off with Kate or return to his wife? What about Dick who discovers he really likes Kate, the woman the computer dating agency set him up with in the first place. And where does Mimi end up?
Maybe Tony is available for her. Mistaken identity at the start leads to one comic misunderstanding after another, but at the end everything is cleared up and everyone is happy.
